Appointments

All surgeries are by appointment and these can be made in person or by telephone. When booking an appointment our reception staff will need to ask you a few questions so they can direct you to the most appropriate healthcare professional – this may be a GP, practice nurse or healthcare assistant.

Each patient has a right to express a preference of GP for booked appointments. Please note that it may not be possible to see a preferred GP within 48 hours as they may not hold surgeries every day.

The easiest way to book an appointment online. You must first register for online services.

Simply log in to the online portal and visit the appointments section and follow the instructions.

Telephone Advice

Sometimes a quick call to the practice is all that’s required to avoid the need for a Surgery visit. If you wish to speak to a specific doctor then our receptionists will be able to advise you on the best time to call back.

Cancelled Appointments

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient.

Please ring the surgery as soon as possible so that another patient can be seen. Patients who persistently fail to attend booked appointments without cancelling in advance may be removed from the Practice List.

If you are Late

Please attend your appointment on time , if you are late you may not be seen.

Please note appointment times may vary during illness and holidays.

Private Medical Examinations

Medical examinations for special purposes such as pre-employment, fitness to travel, elderly drivers, fitness to undertake sports etc, will require longer than a routine appointment.

These examinations do not form part of NHS Services, you will be charged for any such examination. Please check the fee chargeable when you require to arrange any such examination.
