Self-care – A well-stocked medicine cabinet with medicines in date will help with many common complaints, such as coughs, colds, minor cuts and bruises. Keep medicines out of children’s reach and always follow instructions on the label. Ensure your medicine cabinet is well stocked with: paracetamol, anti-diarrhoea medicine, rehydration mixture, indigestion remedy, plasters and a thermometer.

NHS walk-in centres – For treating minor injuries such as sprains, bites or minor burns and also for urgent contraceptive advice you can go to Soho walk-in centre at 1 Frith Street W1. The centre is open seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am to 8pm at weekends and on bank holidays.
Call 111- NHS 111 is a service to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency.
If you have a minor ailment you could visit your local pharmacy who will be able to provide you with some help or signpost you onto the next available service.
